Inn Town Campground 

Nestled in beautiful California, Inn Town Campground is a gorgeous holiday getaway. Here, you can camp out in a tent or RV, sleep under the stars, and head into Nevada City to take part in some holiday festivities! There are over 30 cozy campsites and 15 RV sites beneath the tall pine trees of the surrounding Tahoe National Forest. Although, due to COVID-19, the common amenities are not available, a huge holiday attraction is still open, just moments outside of the campsite. 

 

Nevada City Victorian Christmas Festival takes place each year. Warm and cheerful describes this festival, with beautifully decorated streets with shopping and restaurants. You can even join the Christmas carolers up and down the Victorian Streets!

 

Silver Dollar City Campground 

At this acclaimed campground, you can stay in a log cabin, RV, or tent to embrace the holiday ambiance beneath the stars in Branson, Missouri. The temperatures are cold and the air is crisp. Here, the odds of a “White Christmas” are good! 

 

The campsite is along Lake Taneycomo, a gorgeous and tranquil place to take in the beauty this holiday season. Best of all, Silver Dollar City Campground has a complimentary shuttle service to Silver Dollar City, which is still open this holiday season. The shuttle picks up and drops off at many preset times throughout the day. 

 

The best part about Silver Dollar City is that it is a HUGE holiday extravaganza! You can spend your evenings getting in touch with nature and bundling up next to a fire and your days and evenings having a blast getting into the holiday spirit. 

 

Through December 30th, the attraction features over 6.5 million lights and many holiday performances. The food is fabulous, featuring many holiday favorites. You can have a campfire dinner one night, and an elegant holiday celebration dinner the next! 

 

Crowders Mountain State Park 

If hiking and trails are your passion and you are looking to get in the holiday spirit, Crowders Mountain State Park is calling your name for the holidays! Some of the terrains are strictly rock climbing, requiring a permit on most. 

 

The views are absolutely spectacular and the camping features RV’s, cabins, and tents with access via drive-in, hike-in, and canoe-in. Within the park, you will be endlessly entertained as you spend your nights beneath the stars, snuggled up with hot cocoa and some holiday tunes. 

 

Just outside of the park is McAdenville, North Carolina, which changes its name to “Christmas Town” every year for the holiday. The downtown area twinkles with lights and trees, lit up with holiday cheer. They have a tree lighting ceremony, a yule log ceremony, and this year even feature a virtual holiday 5k that you can take part in right from the campground! Shopping and dining out is also an experience you don’t want to miss!
